MSU's Faculty/Academic Staff Conflict of Interest Policy requires all MSU faculty and academic staff submit an annual disclosure of all significant financial interests related to their MSU responsibilities. This requirement has applied to investigators for Public Health Service (PHS) and National Science Foundation (NSF) since 2012.
In addition, Conflict of Interest training is required for investigators on PHS-funded projects.
The Research Integrity Officer (RIO) receives and manages Allegations of Misconduct in Research within the MSU community. Research Misconduct includes Plagiarism, Fabrication, Falsification, and other research activities that seriously deviate from accepted practices in the research community.
